As long as anyone can remember, collectors have yearned for a good General Lee replica in 1/64 scale. ERTL made the original cars which were certainly good enough to play with, but they weren't really dead accurate, and certainly not with the wheels. Johnny Lightning came out with more than a few renditions, each better than the last. I have one from Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning which is really quite nice, but the base casting of their '69 Charger isn't the greatest. Hot Wheels has a really nice '69 Charger casting but of course no push bar or correct wheels to compliment it. Someone emailed me requesting I take a shot at this so here's what I came up with! The front push bar is resin cast and it has the correct 10-spoke American Racing Vector wheels, CB antenna stub, roll cage, and hand-laid decals with correct proportions. I'm quite pleased with these. This is the first series I've left as an open series just because I wasn't sure how many I could make before getting some kind of nasty letter from WB.
