Prototypes & Cancelled Projects
Occasionally I make a prototype and it goes nowhere. That's not to say it wasn't any good or it wasn't fun to make!
Each car on this page is still a prototype only for its own reason, as indicated. There is still hope for some to become production models!

Jurassic Park Explorer #04
(Crushed Edition) Basically another JP Explorer but distressed and crushed, tire cut off, etc. Crushing the roof was very tricky to do and kept breaking during the process. |
On hold
May revisit after doing a non-crushed 04 Explorer |

Dukes of Hazzard Rosco P. Coltrane
My prototype came out great, but I later found out that Johnny Lightning came out with this exact car of their own casting. The JL Rosco cars are in the category of "stupid-rare" but they do exist, so I kinda have an issue with competing with cars that were done correctly. Now.. an Enos car? Perhaps. |
UNCANCELLED
Production changed to Enos car on main page! |

Ghostbusters 1959 Miller-Meteor Ambulance/Hearse
I thought it would be cool to make the car that Ray brought back to the firehouse. The Ecto-1 base worked ok for this, but giant gaps in the roof and glass sections would prove too daunting for my skills circa 2010. It's still a cool idea, so maybe I will look into this again someday. |

Ghostbusters Ecto-1
When this car was initially released, the roof was all black and it was missing a lot of detail. I figured I could paint detail, do a proper wheel swap and it would be gold. At some point later Mattel released not only a SDCC Exclusive version but also the Retro Entertainment version. Are their versions perfect? Not quite, but it's not worth my time to make a bunch of slightly better cars. Crappy part is I cut up a bunch of cars to swap out the wheels. |

A-Team Van
Another car that looked "pretty good" in the basic line but could have used some help. I masked the car and sprayed gunmetal for the top, touched up the details with paint, and found the perfect red turbine wheels. Problem is, so did Mattel! Just like Ecto-1 they released a better version both for 2010 SDCC and the Retro Entertainment line. And they even got the tires right! |

Fast & Furious 6 1970 Ford Escort RS1600
I don't know why but I left the theater just dying to know what that little blue car flying through the air was. A few months later I had this prototype banged out. I'm quite proud of how accurate it is. Problem is, the original donor car for this is VERY old and hard to find. So it's on hold until I can round up enough cars to make a series. So far I've got 2. Wish me luck. In the meantime Greenlight has released a 1:43 version. Am I nervous? A little. But my 1:64 version was first! |
